Each roadrunner is unique and custom cut to order. These metal roadrunners can be pushed into the ground using metal stakes. If you’d rather, we can make a flat base for you. These are designed to be an outdoor piece, and can be finished in multiple ways.

How is the metal rusted?

This item is available in four different finishes (please see pictures): black matte, bare metal, copper patina, and rusted metal.

For the rusted metal finish, we start the rusting process for you by finishing the metal and then treating it with a vinegar/peroxide/salt mixture. This is a superficial form of rust and the metal should be handled as little as possible until the organic rusting kicks in.

Organic rusting will happen as the item ages and is left to the weather elements. That means that over time your rusted metal quail will change color slightly.

Display Options

Metal roadrunners can be made with stakes or with a flat stand on the bottom to sit under rocks and anchor your little guy to the ground.
