What are these metal quail ground stakes made from?
These metal quail are made from steel. These are plasma cut pieces that are welded to the base – designed and cut right here in Tucson. Each one is unique and custom cut to order. These metal quail are designed to be an outdoor piece and stays put in the elements.
What finishes are available?
There are four finishes available: matte black, bare metal, copper patina, and rusted metal. Please see product pictures for finish options.
If you choose a rusted metal finish, we start the rusting process for you in our shop by treating it with a vinegar/peroxide/salt mixture. This is a superficial form of rust and the metal should be handled as little as possible until the organic rusting kicks in.
Organic rusting will happen as the item ages and is left to the weather elements. That means that over time, the color of your rusted metal will change slightly.
